{Baby Sprinkle} :: Ready To Pop!

February 21st, 2012 at 8:25 am. Posted in Party.

I gave a little peek of the invitations yesterday, and I’ve been so excited to share with you the details for this sprinkle I had the honor of co-hosting for a very dear friend’s second baby. Once she shared the news she was expecting her second, my friend Jen (of Shop Snug Haven) and I knew immediately we wanted to throw her a sprinkle that centered around her love of popcorn! Below are some photos and details from her “Ready To Pop” Sprinkle!

Tissue poms floated over the food and drink table, with the three different blends of popcorn taking center stage. We had sweet and savory popcorn options, plus other “pop-related” food items like Cheesy Popovers, Chocolate Cake Pops and yummy Kettle Popcorn Cookies. For the beverages we served Rose Sparkling Wine, Italian Soda Pop, Sparkling Water, Red and White Wine.

For the party favors, we put together bags filled with “things that go pop”, which included: Mini-Champagne to pop open on 02.29.12 (baby’s due date), Pop Rocks (who doesn’t love those?), Gumballs, Kettle Popcorn and Cake Pops.

The invitations and printable partie kit will be available on my Etsy Shop later this week, and comes in three different color options! I’ll also have a photo tutorial for the tissue poms next week ready to share.

    Fabulous styling…obviously done with lots of love (and talent, of course)! So adorable how you were able to carry the “pop” theme into every detail!

    You have fab party ideas! I’m dying to have a co-ed backyard “Baby-Q Bash” like the one you threw (when I have a baby one day)! I just had a bridal shower that was super pretty, and I used some of your presentation ideas. Check it out: http://the-wander-woman.com/high-tea-champagne-a-bridal-shower/

    Just curious… what size were the apothecary jars you used for the popcorn, and where did you find them? I absolutely LOVE this idea, and plan to use it as inspiration for a shower I’ll be throwing! Adorable!!

      Lexi, the apothecary jars are from Pottery Barn (http://tinyurl.com/pbvases) – the medium size. It fit about 6 – 7 cups of popcorn in each. Good luck!!

    Hi,

    My friends are planning to throw me a “ready to pop” baby shower and I love all your ideas. Where did you find the mini champagne bottles? I am having a hard time finding them.

    Thanks!

      Hi Michelle!

      I just got them at a local grocery store, they’re by the individual wine bottle and come in a pack of four!

      Good Luck!

      Hi! The Spicy Caramel Popcorn is Archer Farms brand from Target, Kettle Corn was purchased from Whole Foods and the Savory Blend was from a local LA restaurant!

    Hi, I have a company in the UK and love looking to the US for inspiration. This is the best theme I have seen. It’s amazing! If you’d like to see any vintage baby shower themes then please see my site.
